Not having a storefront after relocating the business to a new location in 1999, the center lost its opportunity to be in a direct contact with tourists. From 1999 to 2016 the activities of the center was mostly focused on the marketplace needs. The improvement of the production techniques and expansion of the business was exciting to Seyed Abolghasem and his team but deep down Abolghasem knew something is missing. He remembered the days tourists stopped at his father’s ceramic workshop and enjoyed spending their time watching, shopping and learning about ceramics.
He remembered the unique experiences and discussions with tourists that improved him and his dad’s business personnel. The center provided both the personnel and the tourists with the opportunity for a pure cultural exchange. In 2016, Seyed Abolghasem brought up the idea of starting Kharmohre workshops for tourists with his team and family. Not surprisingly, everyone liked the idea and supported Seyed Abolghasem. Thanks to Saadatmand Crafts team, in a few months the construction of the new storefront and workshop area was finished and the center was ready to cater tourists and visitors.
